No one should question the ability Baltasar Ceratti has going downhill and his seasons with Team Stredet have shown him to be prolific given the right terrain.
However, you may point to his lack of a single result in the last two seasons in a race with more climbing than descending as form that would suggest he has no place troubling the best climbers up Alpe d'Huez, but trouble them he did and he has come away with his first trophy and an impressive one at that.
As he rolled in 77th last season having guided Horatio Marlowe to a podium finish perhaps he was plotting his return a season later.
We began some transfer negotiations towards the end of last season for Ceratti but the pen is now firmly back in the pocket for some time yet.

If 10th in Eissh is an error then so is 2nd in Innsbruck on a normal day, so I probably shouldn't complain! Perhaps his watts/kg are improving and he's nervous on descents in his old age.
10th in Eissh is a race engine fuck up! Clearly, Baltasar is better than that:) LOVE the win in Alpe d'Huez, congrats!
I did okay, nothing fancy with 6th. It is kinda lowish but that will be made up later in the season
He confuses me! ;-)
I had a wind breaker and downhill guides. Not an off day for him but TMs performed badly. Perhaps downhill guides not the right way to go?
Mesake Tavaga had super legs during the race. Harold Firth had an off day. Antwan Ray had an off day. Antwan Ray suffered from a mechanical issue. Niek Van Poppel had an off day. Niek Van Poppel suffered from a mechanical issue. 13:01
It's not easy to understand this guy :p
You have a strong team of downhillers and should do well. It is a close to ideal race for Ceratti so I'll hope for a good result. My TS is much lower than it was for Alpe d'huez so maybe shouldn't hope for too much!
im up for a challenge at Eissh Downhill
Very well done ! Baltasar works well under pressure it seems...
